Located on the territory of the department of Brasov, they form part of Carpathians Curvature being surrounded of all the with dimensions ones of modern transportation routes, which allowed the development of a very beautiful mountainous station of Carpathians- Poiana Brasov.

The Postavaru mountains are made up in the North-East of the solid mass of Postăvaru properly-known as, in the west of the mountains Poiana Brasov and in the south of the Predeal mountains.
Solid mass of Postăvaru delimited by the valleys of water Cheia and Timis and Poiana Brasov atteind max. altitudes at the top Postăvaru 1799m. Ruia 1659m.
